What I Am Noticing

February challenged every level of my mental health and well-being. The waves of self doubt were fierce and many times it felt impossible to catch my breath. None of this was represented externally. My life just trotted along unencumbered by my mental state. I found neutrality to be the only surfboard available and sometimes it was simply a matter of just holding on.

Neutrality has many connotations. When I experience neutrality it is a place of isness that can't be argued with. This is the amazingness of the human body. The body is the truth because it never leaves the now moment. When I place this understanding in my body, I notice all kinds of things. Sometimes impatience, anger, fear, doubt and pain arise. If I can stay present with the body's experience, there is often a giving way to breath, peace, comfort and calm. But I have to stay in it long enough for this to arise.

Where We Are Headed Collectively

Thoughts and emotions can drive far too much action when most of the time they just require observation. We are being presented with the opportunity over and over again to maintain a connection with what IS actually happening which can be in contrast to what we want or think is happening. As we start to accept that there are no veils left to lift and our true essence stands before us exposed to our full attention, the body becomes the single and only safe haven. Treating the body with a deep respect, reverence for its knowledge and capacity to adapt and continue to keep moving is deserving of pause, especially now. Our bodies are a deep well of wisdom. Honoring the human vessel is as important as utilizing its capacity.
